Silver Heart Necklace--Something Old

When I got married three years ago, my mother let me wear a silver heart neckace for my something old. She wore it on her wedding day 26 years before. Her mother gave it to her for her wedding day as her something new. I am hoping one day that my baby girl who will soon turn one will wear it on her wedding day.

Of course, I am in no hurry for that day to come. I am enjoying new motherhood. I gave the silver heart necklace back to my mom as she has not officially given it to me yet. It has great sentimental value to her, but one day I am confident that she will give it to me.
