About Me

My Own Website

In 1987, when I was creating my own Christian wedding, I did not have my own website on creating the perfect Christian wedding. There was no internet with a ton of helpful websites like there is today for me to turn to. There were bridal magazines and a few library books on how to plan a wedding, but that was it. There was really not much on planning a Christian wedding at all. I was basically on my own.

I wanted a nice wedding that would produce a lasting, Christ-centered marriage reflected in every detail of my wedding. I picked a modest, but beautiful white wedding gown with a small train. It is pictured in the photo below.

I bypassed the popular, cute wedding invitations in favor of a simple white one with two interlocking gold rings on the front. It had significant meaning for me.

On the back of the invitation, the meaning of this symbol was printed so all would understand the special meaning. Ours was a simple, yet tasteful ceremony with Christian symbolism.

That was over 22 years ago and we are still married. We have attended many beautiful and elaborate weddings of friends and relatives over the years. Sadly, many of these fancy weddings gave way to short marriages. Some ended after just a few months.

My point? It is not the money or the fancy and costly details of a wedding that count in the long run. It is your commitment to Christ and to each other that will make your marriage last.

You can create a beautiful and meaningful Christian wedding, whether you have a small budget or deep pockets. Choose to honor Christ on your wedding day. To save money, you and your family and friends can make many of the items yourself, such as favors, place cards, invitations, bouquets, decorations, centerpieces, and food.

Remember that your Christian wedding is the beginning of a beautiful journey the two of you will take with Christ leading your way.

My Own Website

If only I could have gone on the internet for do it yourself wedding tips on Christian weddings more than 22 years ago, I would have had a much easier time making all of the plans and arrangements. Of course, the Internet was not around back then (since Al Gore had not yet invented it! LOL!!!) and homes did not have personal computers.

I decided to create my own website to make it easier for you to plan your Christian wedding. It is fun to build my site and very gratifying to know that I am helping my readers by giving them useful ideas. My wedding site is now turning into a career for me!

I did a lot of research on the net about how to make money from home on my own website.

I found a company called Site Build It (SBI), and began building this site in May of 2007. I had no real computer experience. I could send e-mails and surf the Internet (thanks to Al Gore, who finally got around to inventing it!) but that was about it. I found that Site Build It made it pretty easy for me to build a web site that has turned into a business. I write pages about weddings and earn money from Google Adsense, Infolinks, SBI, Amazon, Shopzilla, and even E-Bay by being an affiliate! I earn money writing about something that helps brides-to-be. Not a bad way to earn a living!

I found and downloaded a free how-to-work-at-home course for moms while i was doing research. I printed it out and read it over a cup of hot coffee while the kids were at school. It made sense to me so I took a chance...I decided to try SBI 2.0 for myself.

The thing I like most about SBI is that it has made building a web business easy for me. It is not a Get-Rich-Quick Scheme. I am certainly proof of that, but it is possible to make real income online if you give readers useful information that will help them. This site is proof!

I joined the SiteSell affiliate program because I strongly believe in the product, and I wanted to recommend SBI! to my family and friends. Now, my husband has two of his own sites which are doing very well.

So, I have no qualms about recommending SBI! to you. I know it actually works. If you sign up for SBI! through the links given above, you can start your own online business today, and I'll receive a small commission that helps to support this website.

Thank you in advance, and if you need help getting your new SBI! website started, just ask. I look forward to meeting you in the SBI! Forums.
