Planning a wedding is fun, but it can also be very difficult. It is frustrating to stay on budget and many times you will feel alone because most men do not want to help much with planning the wedding.

Of course, there is always the chance that your family or his family might want to take over and direct things the way they want them to be and it is hard to cope with that!

You must let these would-be bosses know that this is your wedding and that you would like their help but that all decisions are yours and yours alone. I planned my own wedding in four months and it was an adequate amount of time. The more time you have to plan, the better. If you have a year, take advantage of that and get things planned as soon as possible. The faster you get things planned, the more time you will have to create things for your wedding. Don't procrastinate. Time flies by and believe me, that year will be gone with the snap of your fingers.

You and your family and friends can do much of the creating on your own, saving you a lot of money and giving you exactly what you want, instead of having to always settle for what the store has to offer.
