Fairytale Wedding Reception

by Denise
(Littleton, CO)

Pick your favorite fairytale and create a fairytale wedding reception. For instance, Cinderella would be great for a wedding reception.

Have a sparkling coach inside the hall for photo ops, especially for the bride and groom. Create a garden area where Cinderella's fairy godmother changed her into a beautiful princess.

Use miniature Barbie-sized coaches and small pumpkins as the centerpieces for each table. Give away sparkling toy tiaras, fairy godmother wands, and mice as favors.

Play the soundtrack from the Disney movie during at least part of your reception.

On one wall of the room, have the Disney version of Cinderella playing in a loop. This will be especially entertaining for the children.

Decorate the entire room with sparkling white tulle. Bring in tall potted tree branches covered in white tulle and miniature Christmas lights and place them strategically around the room.

The same thing can be done for just about any fairytale. Use decorations from the fairytale you like most such as The Little Mermaid, Beauty And The Beast, Sleeping Beauty, Pocahontas, Enchanted...The Disney versions of these fairytales are so beautifully done.
