Christmas Wedding

by Cynthia
(San Antonio)

We are having a Christmas wedding on Saturday, December 19, 2009. Our wedding will be in our church and the reception will be in the church fellowship hall.

We are using red linen tablecloths with dark green paper napkins and matching paper plates. We are using clear plastic cups for punch.

Red and white poinsettias purchased at Wal-Mart with foil covered pots will serve as centerpieces. Towards the end of the reception, we will pull names out of a bowl and give each winner a poinsettia to take home.

We are giving each guest a Ziploc bag with 3 different flavored packets of hot chocolate for favors.

We are serving pork and chicken tamales that we have ordered from Delicious tamales here in San Antonio. Also, we will have a veggie platter and tortilla chips with salsa and cheese dip.

Of course, we are having a wedding cake decorated with frosting poinsettias. The bridal bouquets at our Christmas wedding will be made of red and white flowers: Gerbera daisies, lilies, carnations, accented with assorted Christmas greens.

The flower girl will carry a Christmas basket from Wal-Mart with silk red rose petals.

We will have white candles lit on candelabra in the sanctuary and we will be doing the Unity candle ceremony during our wedding ceremony.

Each pew will be decorated with large red velvet bows and large poinsettias will grace the altar, near the candelabra on either side as we take our vows. We are very excited! Merry Christmas to all of you as we have our Christmas wedding!
