Cheap Fall Wedding Invitations

by Kayla
(Newburgh, NY)

I decided to make cheap fall wedding invitations for our fall wedding. I bought a large leaf stencil, about the size of a greeting card. I took it to a local print shop and told them I wanted a light reddish-orange card stock used to create leaf invitations. The print shop cut the card stock in the shape of maple leaves, using the stencil. We had the print shop print the actual wedding invitation information on the front of the leaf. On the back we put that the guests were invited to the reception and where and when. They used brown ink for this to keep with the fall colors. The price was pretty inexpensive.

I bought off-white self-sealing card-sized envelopes at Wal-Mart and mailed the leafy cheap fall wedding invitations 6 weeks prior to our October wedding. Extra postage was not required since the invitation just had one piece of card stock and was not folded so we saved money.
